According to a June 2023 article in ourquadcities.com, local hospital’s top challenge comes from staffing needs for nurses and other health fields. The region’s rural hospitals especially feel this crunch. We are prepared to educate students now in support of a healthier tomorrow. Scott Community College currently offers 14 health sciences programs, including:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Dental Assisting & Pre-hygiene
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) /Paramedics
- Health Information Management (HIM)
- Cancer Information Management (CIM)
- Nursing: LPN & ADN
- Medical Assistant
- Radiologic Technology
- Sonography: General Medical & Cardiac
- Surgical Technology

With your support, you can help offset the upfront required costs (inoculations, uniforms, tools, health insurance costs, etc.) for Health Sciences students at the start of school as well as their program postgraduation license testing needed for employment.
